ITINERARY

TUESDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER

Pick up from our designated pick up point and travel to Dublin Port for the 08.05hrs Irish Ferries service to Holyhead. After disembarking, travel across North Wales and the Pennines, with comfort stops en route, to board the overnight cruise ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge. After checking in to comfortable cabins, dinner will be served on board in the ship’s carvery restaurant, then relax and enjoy the ship’s entertainment programme this evening.

WEDNESDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER

After breakfast on board disembark then travel across the Belgium and into Luxembourg for a lunch break and some free time in Luxembourg City. Continue into France for an overnight stop in Metz. Dinner will be served in the hotel this evening.

THURSDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER

After breakfast check out of the hotel and travel south eastwards through Germany, passing the cities of Stuttgart and Ulm and travelling through Bavaria before crossing the border into Austria. It’s then a short drive to the hotel in the resort of Igls, close to Innsbruck. Settle in before dinner in the hotel.

FRIDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER

7813599274_20952f75c2_bAfter breakfast it’s a short drive to the lovely city of Innsbruck, cultural and tourist capital of the Tirol. See the famous Bergisel Ski Jump, the Hofburg Palace and the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof), then spend time in the pedestrianised historic old town. Return to the hotel for a light lunch then this afternoon head to Wattens for a visit to the world famous Swarovski Crystal World. Return to the hotel for dinner.

SATURDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER

Today’s excursion is to the Ziller Valley and Kitzbuhel Alps, taking in the Ziller and Pinzgau valleys including stops at the charming towns of Kitzbuhel, the famous ski resort, and Rattenberg. Continue to the picturesque town of Mayrhofen returning via Krimml with its waterfalls and the Gerlos Pass. A packed lunch is included today. Dinner in the hotel.

SUNDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER

This morning set off for Salzburg, “The Sound of Music” city and one of the best preserved cities in Europe – its Old Town is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose home is now a fascinating museum.

SalzburgVonDerGersbergalmSurrounded by spectacular mountain scenery the city offers a delightful combination of history, art, culture and architecture and is easily explored on foot. Take a stroll through the lovely Mirabell Gardens where the Von Trapp children sang Do-Re-Mi around the fountain and on the steps in the 1965 movie, or maybe take a funicular ride up to Hohensalzburg Fortress. A packed lunch is included today and dinner will be in the hotel this evening.

MONDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER
Check out of the hotel and return through Germany and France to Metz for an overnight stop with dinner included.

TUESDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER
Travel back through France and Belgium to board the overnight cruise ferry from Zeebrugge to Hull with cabins, dinner and breakfast on board.

WEDNESDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER
After disembarkation in Hull, return across the Pennines to catch the early afternoon ferry from Holyhead to Dublin, then an immediate transfer to your original pick up point will follow.
